Making the decision to take a gap year requires a lot of thought and planning, even as a solo traveller, but it requires a whole load more when you add kids to the mix! In 2022, our family with three kids (one tween and two teens) set off with our rucksacks on a family gap year. It truly was a life-changing decision for each of us; we just didn’t realise how much until we got back in 2023!
